Adesto Technologies were founded in 2007 as a company whose purpose was to provide innovative, low-power memory solutions. The founders of the company were determined to develop a technology that would differentiate itself from its competition. The founders developed a technology called Conductive Bridging RAM (CBRAM) that was different from other types of memory on the market. CBRAM was designed to serve a wide range of applications. Adesto licensed its technologies and has been used on several large System on Chip Semiconductor companies. With only a few years in operations, Adesto has expanded its CBRAM technology offering. The technology is CMOS compatible and has proved to be very versatile because of the way it operates. In September 2012, Adesto Technologies acquired Atmel’s DataFlash and Serial Flash product lines. With the acquisition, Adesto was able to offer its customers high quality products and derivatives along with a growing CBRAM product line.
