Comparator Parts Catalog

A comparator is an electronic device that measures voltages and indicates which is larger by outputting a digital signal. They have two analog input terminals and one binary digital output terminal. Several parameters to consider in regards to comparators are speed and power, hysteresis, output type, internal reference, and whether it is continuous or clocked. They are applied to null detectors, zero-crossing detectors, relaxation oscillators, level shifters, and analog-to-digital converters.
